Can you help me manage my Graphics card?

I just got a EVGA 7600 GT CO from newegg, and i had a lot of problems downloading it. Here is what i did,

1st- i connected it on my pci-e, connected monitor to it
2nd-downloaded software and drivers( do i have to to go to website for updated drivers?)
3rd- i have a hp and windows xp so, i restarted computer and pressed f1 before it started on the Menu for changes, On my video adapter i changed it to PCI-E so it would start using that one. than i disabled my intergrated 128 mb.

hehehe, did i do it right??? o yea, would i get more performance if i added MORE RAM?? i only have 512 mb... and the minimum power supply is 450 but im using it on 300 watt lol.
it works fine on cs source but don't know about bf2 yet.

More ram for sure. 512 just BARELY cuts it. 1 gig minimum, if you want things to even possibly run on high, look into buying a 2 g kit. New PSU indefinately for sure.

if it requires 450, and u have 300, I would do PSU FIRST, so you dont destroy it all.

You should still get at least 450W.... I'd personally go for 500W. If you don't have enough power your PSU can completely ruin your entire motherboard/video card or whatever else it can short out.
