Hey, i just want your veiws on this, im looking to get a new PC and was wondering if this is a good setup?

RAM Memory - 512 mb

Hard Disk Capacity - 80 Gb

NO that is not a good system. Here are the problems.

1. Has integrated Graphics card
2. Celeron Processor
3.ONly 512 MB of ram

You should be able to play BF2 at all low with that, don't expect anything more.

xploitation, no, dont get the 2nd one either, it will run all low, no more.

The pc that Token picked out is good, it should be able to run BF2 at high settings, with a few on med because of the lack of RAM, but the rest os great.

That system is not strong enough to run BF2 well.

You should consider systems with 800 FSB and dual channel PC 3200 RAM with a minimum of 6800 Video card either AGP or PCI-X.

You want several fast drives like Raptor 74 gig's not as expensive as the new 150's but if you can get into SATA go for it.

One hard drive will not keep up with everything at once. It probably can but I would worry about it.

There is a old saying: Buy cheap and you will be taken advantage of. It is better to build your own.

only buy pre-built if you either:

a) have too much money
b) want the warranty
c) are getting a laptop

1 HDD is easily enough to run anything you can throw at a system now. running RAID 0 doe not give you much of an increase in performance.

Im looking to spend upto about £500. and then maybe upgrade parts as i get more income!! lol

Technically RAID 0 should be considered AID 0 due to tha fact that there is no redundancy in a 0 array. Also, if you run a RAID or AID 0 array i would suggest backing up anything important you have on a daily basis. If a drive goes down for some reason... have fun.

Very true, if either of the HDD's get corrupted at all, then you will most likley need to re-install the OS, and then everything else...
