hi! how do i add and old hdd to my pc...and how to erase whats in it. my current setup also uses Ide cables...

you can use a 98se custom bootdisk from Http://www.bootdisk.com using the format c: command in dos or use format thru windows via my computer right click on the Harddrive and select format, generally with NTFS File System

yes..just format it for windows on the new computer.
