    Re: Best gaming mouse

MX1000 is gd, but the G5 is the same thing only much better for gaming (My MX1000 stopped syncing with base station ). it's about the size of a MX700, it's a cool color, has really nice rubber on it, and it has 5 sensitivity settings on it, as well as a weight cartridge you can insert. The wire for it is sleeved in some slick nylon sleeving stuff so it won't even get stuck on anything.

Look into MX518's and Razer Diamondbacks. both are using old optical tech, but still run very well. If you have the money, I highly suggest buying a Razer Copperhead. My reviews is still currently offline with the recent site difficulties, but when they return, check them out here:

A decent mouse is fundamental in computer gaming and so choosing the best one for you is important. There is a vast range of gaming mice available on the market and it can be overwhelming to know where to begin when choosing one for yourself. First and foremost, you should decide whether you are looking

According to that site..."Affordable yet powerful, the MX518 can seriously improve FPS gaming. Not for n00bs" Very powerful words indeeed

Lol you should read up about stuff before you post, I just found that the MX1000 has only 800dpi... the MX518 has interchangeable dpi from 400, 800 & 1600. The MX518 has 2x the dip of the MX1000, the only reason it costs more is cause it is cordless.

If you thinkg the MX1000 is ****, you obviously havn't used it. Sure the 518 has more dpi, but that makes little real world diffrence.

Here are a few reasons why the 518 is beter then the 1000

                1. The fact that it isnt wireless so you can play and not have to worry about running out of power during your pwning period.
                2. Double the dpi
                3. The AWESOME graphics used on the mosue.
                4. The Fact that its $70 cheeper then the 1000 (Australian Dollars)
                5. Ive actually tryed the MX1000 & all other gaming mice at LAN's thats why Im using the 518 because I found it to be smoother have faster reaction times and its just awesome.

There my reasons... if you have some reasons why the 1000 is beter then the 518 plz post em.

It's all really subjective, I simply prefer the MX1000. It's got a bettery meter, and lasts around a week on a charge, if I run out of juice it's my own fault for not keeping it charged. Response time is the same as any wired mouse. DPI isn't a huge issue, and I got mine on sale for $45 USD, to the price was not an issue.

But saying all wireless mice suck is just asinine, and makes you look ignorant.

No I just dont like wireless, and dpi is an issue for me concidering I use my 518 on 1600dpi in games, means if we were back to back I could spin and kill twice before you could hit me

It doesn't quite work like that.

Dude. Get over it. Optical is now outdated technology. Just move one, and let it happen.

Great as long as there is going to be USB ports on mainboards optical will never go out... and even if for some magic reason they moved to firewire then optical would move over to firewire so GG you cant escape.

Wtf are you talking about? Optical is old tech now, all the gaming mice are going laser. Get over it. Besides the interface has nothing to do with the type of mouse, all mice are usb or ps2. Now stop posting, as you really have no idea what you are talking about.

Clearly you dont have no idea what your talking about.... I still see heaps of optical gaming mice.... wireless is **** I love to game with a mouse that can run out of power in the middle of a game. Your just having a cry the fact you spent all this money on a optical "Gaming Mouse". Back to the point of dpi if laser is the new thing how come optical mice have double the dpi?

And clearly you don't know how to read, I said optical is old tech, and that eventually all gaming mice will be laser. As for the wireless, there are no longer any lag issues. Even logitechs newest gaming mouse is wireless and *gasp!* laser! When it comes to battery life, I've never had it die on me ingame, ever. The battery lasts at least a week with 8 hours of daily use. Plus, if you are afraid of it dying on you, just leave it in the cradle overnight and *viola* problem solved. I spent 50 bucks on this mouse, and it's the best mouse I've ever had. You are the one who is crying, because all you have to back up your statments are flames and disjointed sentences of someone desperately trying not to look stupid (guess what? you failed).

Besides that fact, just because you don't like something doesn't mean you have to ****ing bash it all the time. I for example, really don't like ati. That doesn't stop me from recommending that people who want a high end card to get a x1900xt(x). If you dislike it(wireless, laser mice) so much, back up your statments with proof, not some retarded rambling. As for your inane dpi question, I'll let jimmy answer it.
