Crashing to desktop (oldest question hard to find answer).

Before you get your hopes up im ASKING the question NOT answering it.

Now that's done, here's my specs and a question:

    Pentium 4 3.06GHz (Prescott)
    Windows XP SP2
    1GB RAM
    160GB HDD (Split in 3 with BF2 on C:)
    GeForce 6200 LE

I am using Battlefield 2 original 1.0 version (just bought it finally) and I start to play online using 1.0 on some unranked servers, start playing the maps no problem and then after a random period of time I go and crash to desktop without an messages or anything.

The question is can anyone tell me if I go and patch to 1.22 or 1.3 (depending on this reversion by EA) will this go and fix the problem and make it so it no longer crashes to the desktop as thats the only problem I have with a perfect framerate otherwise.

No, it won't. In fact 1.3 will prob make it worse. Not much you can do about that though.

you could try monitoring your temperatures and make sure they are reasonable while playing.
