X1900XT Full AA & FSAA Jagged Edges

Is it the game or is there NO WAY to FULLY get rid of Jagged Edges? I've got an X1900XT with FULL Anti-Aliasing and FULL Anisotrphic filtering and I still see some jagged edges.

I have the video settings in game MAXED and get like 95FPS/10CPU but I still see some jagged edges and everything isn't entirely smooth.

Am I missing something here? I've set the video card up as noted above. I've set the game up with MAX everything. So what am I missing?

    Do GeForce owners see this?

    Any who...

BTW, don't respond and say "just set the video card to application controlled". That speaks volumes of what you know about gaming. :)

    Peace.

    full system specs would help.

BTW u cannot entirely get the edges to show NIL jagged edges.

first off, get as screenie. secondly, dont act like you are all big and tuff with

"BTW, don't respond and say "just set the video card to application controlled". That speaks volumes of what you know about gaming. "

because you said that you get 95fps/10CPU. when in reality the second number is not the CPU usage it is the MS delay between frames on the moniter. and almost EVERYONE gets 90-100% CPU usage during bf2. kthnx.

thirdly, it could be set it your control panel for ATi ( i havent much experience with it) that AA is on zero. when you look at the things to choose between operating at "performance" or "balanced" or "quality" make sure it is al BALANCED and nothing else, thast could be the problem. like I said I do no know that for sure. but it seems it could be the only explanation.

I havnt had an ATI card in about a year, so I forget what the control panel looks like, but you need to enable the ATI equivelent to Transparency antialiasing.

Regular AA only smoothes outer edges, tranparency AA smoothes inner edges of textures, like chain link fences etc...

Make sure you browse the advanced options of the control panel.

eww x1800..... I think it is because BF2 was developed on Nvidia Hardware. So I am guessing the game takes more advantage of that Nvidia Stuff(aa, shadows, etc.) then on an ATI card.

                got it figured out..

if you manually set your AA/AF in the CCC, BF2 doesnt like it, if you set it to App controlled in the CCC and then 4x in game you get this..

Complete nonsense. Nvidia pays EA for the right to put the made to be played logo, the game is by no means developed for/optimized for nvidia, as a matter of fact ATI cards run the game faster than nvidia cards when you compare similarly priced cards that compete for the same target audience.

As for the problems people are getting, make sure to put BF2 to no AA, and let the control panel overwrite the settings.
