    Dynamic <effect>

Could somebody explain to me what all the settings that have dynamic in them mean? By dynamic, as far as I know (english is my 3rd language), it means that it is something that constantly changes, that is calculated from the surroundings and the different situations.

Dynamic shadows, lights, what do they do? Do they need more CPU, RAM, or GPU power? Or all three combined?

More GPU power mainly, although a bit of all three will help a good bit, dynamic lights is like the light given off by dynamic items, such as a soldier firing his weapon, or a person walking around with a torch. Dynamic shadows are the shadows given off by dynamic lighting.

lighting kills your gpu power. i can run everything at all high at 1600x1200 with 6x AA but can't run anything higher than low lighting settings. you need a lot of ram and a good gpu to run them at high
