    PC won't turn on

I was moving my fan in the PC case when the wires that connect the fan to the PSU (tho it goes from the PSU to the HD then to the fan) somehow fell out of the rubber that seals them. They met and a spark came, and the PC turned off. It won't turn back on, do you think it's the PSU that's fried? Or is it something much worse?

I know it was stupid to be messing with the fan when the comps on, but I've been having trouble with it and it dropped, so I had to make it stand up again.

I stuck a screwdriver in a psu once, thank god for plastic handles!
Check the fuse and hope, unfortunately id guess the psu is dead.

Yip, check the PSU's fuse, what you can also do is remove the PSU, turn it on and test it with a multimeter.

If it works then its a pice of hardware that broken if it doesnt work then its hopefully just you PSU.

Bah, the PSU is probably the most expensive thing in my desktop comp. The comp only has 256 mb of sd ram (pc133 / pc2100), athlon xp 2000+, and fx5200.

Don't plug the PSU back in there and try to start it unless you're SURE the thing is perfectly back in order. PSU's can destroy the rest of your hardware extremely fast.

No it isn't, it's already been pointed out. It's like going to BF2 General Discussion and posting: THERE WILL BE CARDROPS IN 1.3.

Because that's still relevant to BF2, right?
