    Serious instability

Wow, since this patch I've been getting CTD's, BSOD's, kick due to Corrupted Files, and "Can't join due to modified files... blah blah."

I have my computer OC'd, and would get a few crashes before, but now I can't even play a few hours without it freezing or crashing. I can deal w/ the messed up server list, but the crashes is what burns my behind.

Is anyone else having stability problems, or will I have to resort to changing RAM timings again to help prevent BF2 crashes? Not once has my computer BSOD due to any Windows task. It has always been while playing BF2. I have NEVER had this many problems with any game I've played in the past. It seems everytime they fix one thing, they break two more with these patches. I'm concerned with the direction of gameplay.

Any suggestions for improving stability? Reinstall never seems to help. It'll play fine for about a day, then I'll start getting crashes again.

    [MOVED]

I hesitated but I think this is the proper spot for your question. It doesn't seem to be a common problem so I don't think it's a bug. You saying that your computer would crash occasionally leads me to believe that you're not stable in your overclock. What are your stats/oc/etc?

Bottom line is your computer should never crash. Ever. Any form of crashing is a sign of instability or quirky command allocations (how you've assigned Windows to handle a problem). If you are blue screening, you should change windows to not automatically restart so you have time to read the message. But you should never blue screen. You should never randomly reboot. You should never hang. These are all signs of problems.
