      Re: ATI driver

      is it too big?

if its too big then you need to open it up with photoshop (if you have it) and press ctrl+alt+shift+s and save it somewhere, that will save it as a small file, if you dont have photoshop, then try opening it with Paint and cropping it down as much as you can

              Re: ATI driver

its okay, i dont mind at all

well crap, i just tried installing ATI 6.5 drivers on my computer so i could show you screen shots but they wouldnt install, so no screenies sorry. but thats okay, I can still tell you how to do it. before you uninstall drivers go download the Omega Drivers from the link that i gave you already. when you get the new drivers go to "add or remove programs", uninstall everything ATI related (ATI drivers, control center, uninstall package etc. etc.) you should have to restart your computer, then install Omega drivers, make sure you follow his instructions carefully, youll have to restart your computer again after you install them, come back here and let me know after youve done that

                  Re: ATI driver

after you do all that, and im assuming that the drivers work on your computer, your bf2 probably wont run so well (mine didnt used to) but you can do this, i got screenies so i can show you
first install the ati tray tools

then make it so that it loads up with windows by doing this (u have to right click the ATI tray tools icon)

now, what i did is I changed the texture preferences and Midmap details settings, they were on "High Quality" but I changed them to "Performance" it doesnt look too much worse, but my performance has more than doubled..you can play with these settings or leave them as they are, its just a preference between "performance" and "eye candy"
