Re: DDR2 Question
hey I have one too. how come, the only way to get a 5-10% performance boost with AM2 is with DDR2 800? but ddrs800 is twice as fast as ddr400 isnt it? so wouldnt even say ddr2667 be better because its still faster than ddr400?

Re: DDR2 Question
No, because the speed is offset by the extremely high timings most ddr2 ram still has.Originally posted by sackynutso wouldnt even say ddr2667 be better because its still faster than ddr400?

Re: DDR2 Question
DDR2 is not all that fast due to the timmings... however when DDR3 comes out it is "suppost" to be faster and have better timmings. Only thing good about DDR2 is the cost is going down.
