Just DL'd Fraps...help

i Just downloaded fraps so i can record while playing. Just need some pointers on what settings i should have it on. Right now it's at "full screen reording" @ 30fps The problem is when i start recording, i start skipping screens, just like i would be laggin really bad, as soon as i turn off record, it's back to normal.

So should i try doing half-screen at a lower fps or faster?

That is because your PC hasnt got enough grunt to play bf2 and record with fraps at the same time. If you want to get 30fps while recording you should turn down your graphics settings.

When you record with FRAPS at 30fps, it locks your fps at 30, which could seem less smooth than what you were originally playing at. But recording does take quite of bit of resources, so it may not even be fast enough to record at 30fps
