Wich FIREWALL??!

I have Zone Alarm, but when I try to join a server first it always says that connection lost, but then on the second try I can join... with the stuped firewall on I have much more lag and sometimes even timout if I turn it off my ceomputer becomes a spyware nest in 10 seconds, even I did not use Explorer or msn. WTF?! plz help I'm tired of this cr@p

Second-last page of the manual says that you should turn your firewall off while playing BF2.

I use McAfee as i get it fromm from work but have you tried the internal Windows XP firewall just to test it out?

I have turned it off becouse it is said to be more dangerous than anything :laugh:

btw is there some utility file witch kills some applications that I dont use or patch the XP?

oh, and syagte firewall is ok for me. free and doesn't mess the use of some progs like ZA

im using 2 at once norton and nividia that came with 6.7 nividia4 board drivers so im confused ATM as i have windows to choose from 2

So thats 3 firewall:p which on do u turn off? and whats best?

And rambo, you really really needn't use more that 1 fw at a time.

pYura On service control you can disable /set to manual unneeded services - check out one of the XP optimization yadda yadda sites for which are necessary and which are not.

On tasklist you can kill unneeded progs.

what should I do?

just exit items from your task bar u dont need to run on bottom left near the time thats all i do:p and get >>startpro<< to pick what starts up on your system

eg no.download accelerator,no messenger

just norton and display nividia ect

so which one do you suggest? nividia is close to my hardware but norto has a hold on my computer and well windows firewall is proper windows :wall: :p

I have no experience in either of those firewalls so I'd suggest you ask my friend Gary Oogle

I would suggest deleting your chipset drivers and reinstall w/o the firewall. As I have read on the dfi-street forums that it causes problems.

The only firewall I have is Windows. It's always on, and haven't had any problems w/ connections.
