    Video card Suggestions

I currently have about $200 to spend on a new video card for my dell E510. I was wondering if someone could show me some cards that will be able to run future games like quake wars and 2142 on decent (med/high) settings. It only has a 300 watt power supply so please keep that in mind. I heard dell psu's are underrated but im not sure.
Oh and its PCI Express x16

    I found this one

Ive heard good things about that card but Im not quite sure if thats the best thing you can get for ~200 bucks. I would upgrade the powersupply, underrated or not we are still talking about Dell. I wouldnt trust an expensive hardware to an iffy PSU.

My original plan was to upgrade my psu and then buy a card but i have been told that more than likely you cant upgrade a dell psu very easily. Even if i where to just get the 6800 do you think i will be fine? BTW i currently have an x600 256.

Pick up a 7600GT, its under $200 and should work fine with your 300 watt psu.

Most if not all ship with a DVI--> VGA adapter, it doesnt make a difference.

It may or may not be easy to replace your PSU, the older Dells had a proprietary PSU but my old 8300 from three years ago came with a real one. Chances are yours is probably an industry standard, you might have to cut a whole for a switch though.

But should i be ok if the minimum is 350 Watt power supply and mine is only 300?

or should i just go with the 6800GS (psu required=300watt)

I used this test http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp and all together with the 7600GT it came out to be about about 290 watts. Should i be fine?

I think you will be fine. If you all of the sudden get random restarts and crashes during games, then you can buy a new PSU, but right now even at max utilization your calculator is even saying you will be ok.
