my 3dmark06 score improved slightly from 4516 to 4532 so they didnt do any harm for me.

only thing i dislike is the new user control panel, old one was much easier to use

the new nforce AM2 drivers and gfx drivers are gonna add A LOT OF STUFF!

like better OCing, more bus speed for higher-end GFX cards. for example with a 7900gtx, the PCIe buss speed gets increased somehow. they also added stuff in the AM2 drivers for gaming networking, like packeting and stuff. its really cool theres an article somewhere on toms about it.

Most of it is overkill, overengineered, or overhyped.

Dual lan with sophisticated firewalls is pretty much unecessary, although some kind of packet optimization giving gaming a priority could be useful. Most of the dual lan stuff will find a use on servers, and Nvidia's server chipset.

But the other stuff like overclocking the HTT bus is almost laughable, they are factory overclocking something that isnt a bottleneck, and outside (hell even including) quad SLI i dont think we will surpass the current 1ghz HTT for many years to come.
