Building a Comp. These specs good?

Hey, i was just wondering if these are good specs to play BF2 on with little or no lag. Specs for new computer i will be ordering the parts for sooon.

RAM:Most likely 2GB
CPU:Intel Celeron D 350 3.20GHz OEM
HD:160 GB 7200 rpm
Video Card: XFX GeForce 6200 / 256MB DDR2 / AGP 8x

The game will run, but not well, probably 1024x768 all settings on lowest.

The graphics card is meant for basic consumers and those that want to output DVD's to their HDTV. It is by no means a modern gaming video card.

The CPU is anemic, its an 3.2ghz Celeron with a 533FSB. It's not very fast at all.

The only saving grace is your ram... at least your maps wont studder, but your looking at lowest details on a low resolution with low 20-40FPS... on large servers. (my estimate)

Also its AGP so your eliminating better upgrades down the road by not going PCIe.

350 because im only 13 (dont have a job) and my parents dont have any money lol

well i got BF2 for a birthday gift for a friend, was all excited to play when i got home and when i played it it didnt even work

i had an alienware laptop but i dropped it and broke it :-(

Save your money until you actually have some. Buying a machine for 300 isn't worth it and will only make you miserable.

Point is, don't be discouraged by your budget. Hardware tech is advancing faster than software tech. Therefore, the "bleeding edge" stuff today will be mid-end by the end of the year, and the mainstream stuff today (6800's and x800's) will be dirt cheap in January--BUT they will still be able to play popular games at medium graphics levels. Buy a comp now and save for upgrades; buy a comp later with the upgrades built in. Either way, you win

Fart on you folks for telling someone they can't get a foot in the gaming door on $350. You do have to look around, be flexible, know what you want, be willing to upgrade incrementally, and shop around. In short, you have to be a smart shopper, instead of someone who asks mummie and/or daddums and/or the student loan corp for cash to buy the latest doggone SLI, 64bit, x-fry fatalONEty, 2-processor* craze.

(*p.s. don't get me wrong, two processors will be nice...eventually)
