Hi, I need help with gettin a new sound card. I've got 5.1 creative surround sound but Im sick of my built in AC 97 screwin up constantly. My price range is MAX £40. Thanx guys.

I'm not sure of the pounds to dollar ratio, i'll assume 40 is around $100. if you can find a good deal on a x-fi xtrememusic you should go with that but if you can't find a good deal, probably look at getting an audigy 2zs good luck -

Audigy 4 near the bottom £35. You won't find an X-Fi for less than around £75, the audigy 4 is the next best thing.Comment

If you decide to go a little cheaper, Ive been using an Audigy 2 Value which is pretty much a ZS stripped with the extra features. Its got a lot better sound than my old LS and onboard.Comment
