is there a way i can upgrade my dell PSU, because normal ones will not fit. i wanted at least 350W because i was looking to get a Geforce 7600 but i only have 305W. Or are there any video cards that are good and only require 300W. Even though someone said mine might be able to handle a 7600GT if the rails are good, so how do i check my rails

Re: Dell PSUs
The Dell should be a standard ATX sized PSU, at least that link you gave says it is.
Also, if those numbers are correct, it appears they tossed a dual rail PSU into that comp. Dual 18amps = about 28-30amps combined...if it is a dual rail of course.
Also, if you must buy a new PSU, why not get something that will live through several video cards? If you limit yourself to just a 350, then you will be buying yet another PSU for the next card too.
Just go ahead and buy a nice 450+ PSU once. You only need more than 450w if you plan to use 2 video cards, and/or have multiple optical drives and HD's.
A good 450w will power any system running 1 video card, 1 HD, and 1 optical drive no problem.Comment

Re: Dell PSUs
I have a dell precision 340. A thermaltake 430 watt installed and worked find for me. The only modding I had to do was to cut a small hole on the back so the case wouldn't hit the back power switch.
