BTW remember to never force anything hard, just take the part out and try again, as fragile electronics break easily (dont ask)

On another note, one problem i experienced was these little plugs(dont know what theyre called) but they connect all of the electronics and buttons on the front of the case. Make sure they are in correctly because its really easy to plug them in wrong, and they have to be turned a certain way. Heres a picture.

Oh yes. Those little wires with the small plugs.

I advice you to deal just with the power button wire, the rest of it can go in later when you fully understand where they go.

There is a set of pins on the motherboard and if you had a flashlight with a blue LED filter you can read things like "PWR" etc. for the pins.

Note that TehFunk's image has rounded cables. I dont know what lengths he used in his case but some cables must be long enough to reach.

Your motherboard's manual should detail precisely how those small wires go.

I totally agree. The first time i tried to turn on my pc, nothing happened, and after hours of searching and numerous customer service calls, it turns out that i plugged the pwr led cable into the pwr switch input and vice vursa. Pay very close attention to these, as they are important!

My first build went smooth. Plugged everything in, turned it on, got my BIOS configured, tried to install Windows 2 times (the install program crashed twice before it finally worked ((my favorite oxymoron, Microsoft Works)). Got all my drivers in and updated, and I was gaming in little to no time.

Like tehfunk said, installing those little plugs is a b*itch.

Remember, Murphys Law goes for computers too. Dont zip up your machine until you have made sure it boots and works properly unless your looking for trouble.

If it dont fit there, it dont go there. Read all the manuals before you build it, no matter how dumb they seem. Those manuals just might save you a load of time. :)

DONT sit down on the carpet and build your computer. That static can and will destroy parts.

I'll look out for those cables....but when teh dell guy comes to my house, he sits on a chair and works with the computer on a wooden table. Problem is, this table and chair are in a carpeted room -_-
