SLi PSU?

Howdy,

yes, I know, it's another PSU thread.......

anyway, I'm looking for an inexpensive PSU to power 2 eVGA 7600 GTs.

eVGA recommends: Minimum 400 Watt for SLI mode system.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amp Amps.)

Bad part, is I can only spend $75, including shipping.

why isn't it Sli certified?

Certified or not, as long as it exceeds the requirements it's fine.

It says SLI ready in the description.

Its mostly a gimick, but to the uninformed it is a good way of ensuring they dont **** things up. Honestly i think my enthusiasm with computers has been shattered after spending time on these forums... lol too many self induced problems, makes me depressed.

Anyways, that PSU will work fine, and remember the 7600GT doesnt even require the external PCIe power connectors, they are not very power hungry compared to the higher end stuff.

Ive got an antect smartpower 2.0 450 watt, its very good, nice in take and exhaust fan system. I also have a 7600gt, except i dont have a second one in sli, also i think it has been said before but the 7600gt is not exactly power hungry, it doesnt require a PCIe power connector. 500w should do you perfectly.
