How dedicated are you to the next upgrade you make? How much of your total earning are spent on tech gear, not just PC components but tech gear in general.

I am a working student, my annual income is about £11,000 or around $20,500. Per year on tech gear I would spend around maybe £500 or $900.

So who spends the most, and who spends the most as a percentage? Does it come from earnings or family or what now? Im curious, also if you actually have to pay to live you should post that =P for any kids living rent free its not really a fair comparison.

I'm spending about 2100 dollars on my new laptop this week. :)

Then again, I haven't bought any hardware parts except for a DVD drive for about 3 years.

I doubt you'll get alot of replies in such a personal thread.

Lets just say out of what I make per year 2.5% goes toward new PC parts.

Well if people don't want to share, the thread can drop off into oblivion. If they prefer only to say what they spend on tech stuff that would be interesting in it's own right. I'm not twisting anybodys arm here :).
P.S. by my calculations I spend about 4-5% of my annual income.

Im on about 30 grand in the army and about 2-300 will go on pc bits, good as they are its not that high on my list of priorities.

im a teen. no job ATM yet I keep running into money. i dont kno exactly how much I get a year towards what I want let me see approx: 1400$. i spend like anywhere from all of it to 1/3 of it on parts and shiet.

Same here, I make about 3k working in the summer and all of it goes towards my comp.

i dont have a steady income (student i am) so i pick up a few bucks here and there but only make tiny computer purchases like...a new webcam or maybe some software..i rarely buy new hardware..that stuff i inherit from my borther or dad

yeh im a student too i usually have a job on the side too so say about £700-800 a year probably more than half is spent on games and my PC

until i get a full time job ill always be short of money
