    Laptop Setup

im going off to college next year and i would like to buy a laptop for school and gaming purposes. I would like for it to run BF2 as well as other games like CS. My budget is around $1300-1500. For around $1300 im looking at a Dell with these specs:

    Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2400 (1.83GHz/667MHz FSB)
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
    60GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 7800

so my question is, is this machine going to be powerful enough to run the latest FPS's like BF2 and CS? I could possibly upgrade to a 2.0 GHz processor for around $150, but i am trying to keep this as cheap as possible. I also already have a 160GB external HD, so keep that in mind too.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

thats a good laptop right there. I woulg suggest though, more hard drive space, and if you can a faster hard drive.

Yeah its all good. Seeing as you have that external hard drive, I wouldn't overly worry about a bigger one in the laptop, but as sackynut said, try to get a faster one if possible.
