    Graphics card+memory??

    I currently have a ATI 9600 Graph card and 512mb pc2100 ram

Now when i turn BF2 Graph settings all the way up except for AA it goes all laggy.

So is my Graph card or my ram making it lagg

I am getting 2gb of ram on monday so will i be able to turn the settings up with out lagg

Also my graph card will be upgraded next month sometime
But i want the best graphics and performance i can get till then

    RAM..

2GB will improve things..but you won't be able to keep all settings on high with that card..it'll slow things down a bit.

Yea exactly what they said, your RAM and vid. card need to be upgraded.

Just stressing that that vid card will do no more than all low... I wouldn't think 2 gigs would be necessary for all low, but at least you'll have it when you upgrade to a better gpu

              x1600xt is a pretty nice mid-range card
edit: but its not AGP... uhhh 6600gt is a good choice, and I can't find any reviews of the x1600pro being compared to the 6600gt

LOL i was just looking at a 660gt128mb card for £100 and i had a look at some test results from F.E.A.R/Half-life 2/call of duty 2/age of empires 3
and it is not far of the 6800 either so i think i might get the 6600gt

                Thanks for the help guys:salute:

                          6600GT outperforms X1600PRO in Elder Scroll:Oblivion so I assume it's the same for BF2.

sooooo menace, what do you think? Are you gonna get the X850? Or something less expensive? Because I have a little cheaper solutions if you don't like the price tag. But I think the money is worth it, I currently have an X850XT thats pci-x and it runs bf2 on high very well, I'm sure AGP won't make that much of a difference.
