    Agp 7900

I'd really like to see it in action. Perhaps AGP isn't quite as close to the end as people feared.

If that card was available to me last month, I probably would have tried it...the 512 MB of RAM is the nice thing about it.

...but I took the plunge to PCIe for many reasons..one of which is always having to worry about PCI latency and future proofing.

Pretty cool, although it does say this:

Gainward do it again! This is the only 7900GT card with 24 pixel pipelines available on AGP. Then along with its 512MB of super-fast GDDR3 memory making this the worlds fastest AGP card ever produced. There is only 1500 units available worldwide!! So be quick as this is a deal not to be missed!

So they will be very hard to come by, however if you get one you could probably make money selling it on....

I would really like to see how it performs, the 7800gs was a bit lacking, only 16 pipelines, but this has a full compliment of 24.

God damn, why can't eVGA or XFX make a nice AGP card? I'm not ready to make the switch yet...

Wait a couple weeks. The 7900 AGP is about to make a debut.

                Re: Agp 7900

HAHA , I have this card for 2 days now its cool, much faster than my 6800GT, but I will have to upgrade my CPU (2200Mhz)too, since its the bottleneck now. So its the best card for NF3 A64 systems

I run BF2 at 1280*1024 all high (except dynamics things, dont ask me why :p) AND VSYNC ON !!+2AA kicks ass!!

oh and I run it at 520/1400, after all day playing it did not overheat or crash or anything..mybe I can push it even further doono if its worth a try since my cpu can take it ...

its a good card but it would be cheaper to go to pci-e and get a better 7900GT like i did :)

thats pretty cool. but like serisouly, it seems they are doing EVERYTHING possible. i mean, SLi in laptops now!?!?! come on. this is a cool idea but the 7800gs should have been enough for an AGP computer.

Since AGP isn't bottlenecking why on earth should 7800GS be enough?

If you ever want to upgrade your system than buy PCI-E, since the 7800GS+ is the LAST AGP card. Why I'm saying this? Becouse it is limited edition at Gainward and no other company makes 7900GT(x) cards for AGP...
