Wireless or wired

I am playing on a newer HP laptop (desktop replacement) and I am trying to tweak it for some speed. Can anyone tell me: when I am ready to play, should I directly wire into the router or is wireless so similar it makes no difference?

I recommend wired for gaming in general.

Wireless can be fine depending on the quality, IE Logitech wireless tech for the g7 and mx700 + were just fine for gaming never had an issue. But just ot guarentee that split second, I would suggest wired too.

I think he was referring to the internet connection, but yeah, wired is best. Wireless can get interfered with, and it loses speed the farther away from the router you are

Wire is better, but if you have a good routher and good connection try it out, if you dont see a difference in ping or lag, wireless will be fine.
