    nvidia storage driver

hey just wondering what the Nvidia storage driver does. you see, nvidia firewall doesnt work unless the storage driver ISNT installed.

so basically, what does the nvidia storage driver do (it comes with the chipset drivers)?

does it prevent fragmenting? thanks... just wonderin

It replaces the standard microsoft ide drivers and is practically guaranteed to fubar your machine.

Controls your IDE drives, ie ATA100/133 hard drive or any non SATA disk drive.

I personally install them dispite the notion that they will screw up your system. Nothing adverse has happened to me, but on the other hand there is probably little difference between nvidia or microsoft drivers. meh

They don't do anything different from the standard microsoft drivers.
