    Ok, try these steps then:

    1. Reinstall Windows again. During the setup, do a complete format of your OS partition (if you have/had multiple partitions), not just a Quick Format
    2. After you install Windows, install all drivers (chipset, network, audio, video, etc.) with the latest versions
    3. Check in Device Manager to make sure that there are no devices that aren't working (yellow circle with an exclamation point, usually because no driver is installed)
    4. Go to Windows Update and make sure Windows is fully patched
    5. Install BF2
    6. Install full 1.22 patch
    7. In BF2, set your desired resolution, but set all settings to low, and see how your framerate is in SINGLE PLAYER
    8. If you have no problems in Single Player, start ramping up the settings until you hit your performance wall

Post results back here, as well as the status of your hardware from step #3. Also, what are the specs on your hard drive (size, interface, rpm rate, cache size)?

Do you have any yellow circles with exclamation marks in Device Manager?

What are the specs of your hard drive?

Yeah, BF2 can be ****ed at times. But to be honest, I could care less about a little better GFX, I mean I can still pwn at low settings. lol

                Re: poor performance on 7900GT

Why are you running all on high anyway? Especially the lighting and dynamic light setting is known to kill FPS. Try setting geometry, lighting, terrain, texture and dynamic shadows on medium. Dynamic light on low, texture filtering on high and 2x AA.

The single memory channel on socket 754 does impact BF2 performance. I've had both 754 and 939. You should check your memory timings. Especially 1T/2T command rate and cas latency. The best memory have 2-2-2-5 1T settings while cheaper ram have 2.5 3-3-6 1T or worse.

I think the 7900gt has tons of problems, I cant even get 30fps with my evga. Im gonna try contacting them and see if I can get them to help me or replace it because something definately isnt right. Alot of them were messed up from who they manufactured from buying crappy ones for a bit or something.

BF2 engine is crap, end of story.
