    high settings

    new comp im ordering monday or so.

    Athlon x2 3800+
    2GB G.Skill Ram
    x2 7900GT's in SLi
    EPoX SLi mobo
    Antec Truepower psu -550w
    Thermaltake Armor

    so will i be able to run BF2 @ max settings?

    yes, and why epox? There are plenty better boards out there, and why not a opteron 165?

      meh, its a good rig, the mobo doesn't make that much of a difference, and the 3800 is a perfect gaming processor, he doesn't need any better.

          This sort of thread was appropriate about a year ago

          Yes, any new gen video card mixed with 1.5-2 GB of RAM and pretty much any other hardware will run BF2 on high.

                yes, those specs will play battlefield 2 on the highest settings they will go. I think even the highest resolution.

                  Don't bother getting 2x7900GT's just get 1 7900GTX and spend the rest of the money on a better processor maybe 4400 or like the guys said opty 165

                    But that comes back to res, at higher resolutions sli is king but i agree at a boring normal res a single card may be as good as two (if not better). The question with sli is can you max a single card out and if you cant... then what would the second one be dong?

                      Do what MonkMachine did, Put the total money of those 2 7900GT to one 7900GTX. It is a better idea that going sli.
