We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Hye guys/girls,
Is the SBC internet any good, well i have COX currently and i am relocating. They dont have COX over there.Wondering if anyone has experience with SBC.
sucks, i have it and i lag, ask anyone who i have driven/piloted for. And packet loss is something like 10%. Torrenting sucks too i have gotten 100k once, my usual now is about 20k. The max file download speed from filefont and rapidshare.de that i have ever gotten is 297k.
This is a snails pace compaired to other companies DSL.
iv never tryed it but i do have roadrunner and i will hightly recremend it i download at 700kbps sometimes (if its a good site) ill download at 1 maby 2 mbps
I have had AT&T [SBC] Yahoo! DSL for about a year and a half now. First the Basic package [1.5 Mbps] which I gamed on for a year with absolutely no problems. Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, all the latest FPS' basically and no problems with lag. Torrents maxed out my bandwidth, no probs at about 1.3 Mbps. Now I have for $2 more a month [total $17.95/month] the better Pro package [up to 3 Mbps, average 2.7 Mbps] and it is everything I could ask for. So yes I would say it's good. :p
I have to upgraded package of SBC Yahoo internet. Let me tell you, I have had about 3 occurances in the entire like 6 years I have used it, where it was slow or down.
IT IS AWESOME. I always have the lowest pings, join internet games fastest, load webpages and web content fast, downloads are supreme and I forgot about torrenting but i believe its fast. I highly recommend it. For us, it was a tad bit harder to set up, and at first we installed all their stupid software, but you dont even need that. I highly recommend it.
I have the top tier package of SBC Yahoo DSL. I get something on the order of 6 megabit down and at least 700 up. While I monitor the connection daily I find no problems gaming. I am deploying several computers on the router and find no issues with them so far.
Once in a while the local Telecommunications building will shut the entire area down for a few hours while upgrading without any notice and only after hours of painful tech support call you learn of that fact.
Yes Tech support is the classic INDIAN accent and everything to match on the telephone. I dont bother with the telephone, I use the live chat assistance they offer. It works and only needed it a few times each year.
Now I need to build a faster computer to keep up with gaming now that the connection is more than adequate for gaming.
Final word: Yes SBC has done a good job where I live. And thank god that Dailup and ISDN is dead. I am also on the list for Fiber Optic Gigabit Service when it comes to my area. I guess the word lagger is dead too. Except that caused by game software **COUGH COUGH BF2** problems. I suspect some servers have crappy hardware as it sorta "Skips" every few seconds of gameplay; I try to avoid those.
I dont do torrent. Internet browsing is simply instant. Click mouse and webpage is pretty much loaded by the time you take the finger off it. Downloading software up to 1 gigabyte in size takes a little time but no more than fixing dinner. Not like the horror show of waiting days only to see it time out overnight.
I used the service for several years now being upgraded occasionally while the prices have dropped each time. So while I never paid full price yet Im happy with what I was able to enjoy because I started off with the DSL at like 30 dollars a month for something like 256 up, 1 meg down and now at the top speeds possible for less than 30 dollars a month.
Packet loss is minimal. There are good days and bad days. But overall it's outstanding.
Around 10 PM to 4 AM is extremly fast as everyone in Little Rock, Dallas and Kansas City is asleep and it is possible to experience gaming at just about perfect on certain game servers.
Sometimes I join European or Asian servers pinging 130 or less; something I have not done before. I usually ping 25-60 on servers here in the USA.
During the day though, SBC struggles sometimes but not too badly.
iv never tryed it but i do have roadrunner and i will hightly recremend it i download at 700kbps sometimes (if its a good site) ill download at 1 maby 2 mbps
dude i have road runner too..but it keep disconnecting, like the cable light keep blinking.. i already called road runner 2 times to fix it but it keeps comming back..ru haveing same problem?..sometimes my ping will go up and down. i usually get 25 ping and now i been getting 35 and up to 500 ping.
