    I don't know if those raptors are really worth it... I have an 7200 RPM maxtor thats 5 years old and is not even SATA, and I kick my friends but who has almost the exact same system as me but with a raptor...

      They are worth it. Run that Drive utilitiy, then compare the results to what I posted.

        Avg Read 35.8 MB/s

        As I said, the numbers turn up bad when tested. But when put to BF2, I'm usually the first one in...

            Bah, I don't know if ping has anything to do with load times (probably not) but living in Alaska would make one think that I should have slow new map times. I run bf2 exclusively on my other raptor and I have to tell you I am always first, second or third one into new map.
