No sound after hooking up PC to my Plasma

I just bought a plasma 42' and hooked my PC up to it fine but for the life of me I can't get the sound to work!

I'm currently using a VGA cord to connect the PC and TV. I also bought a sound cord that converts a headphone jack into RCA cable.

Heres my sound card: Sound Blaster Audigy™ 2 ZS (D) Card w/Dolby 5.1, IEEE 1394 capability. I'm not sure which plug on the sound card to use? I tried them all and nothing worked.

I have the RCA's plugged into the RGB jack on the back of the tv.

This really sucks I need your help.

Ok, the mini-stereo end should go into the 'front speaker out' in the back of your sound card. It should be green on the Audigy...but I may be wrong. To ensure it is working, plug a set of headphones in there first and make sure you can hear sound from your PC.

If you're plugging the RCA cables into the back of your TV (and make sure the jacks are labeled 'audio in'), then make sure you head into your TV's on screen audio menu and check for an 'audio input' setting. You should get a few selections and one of them may even be labeled 'rear panel audio in'.

I used to use the same type of cable years ago when I first tried plugging my PC into my TV..worked great!

EDIT: PS - moved to Tech Center

      RGBs ARE NOT audio inputs.

oops that was a typo, the RGB is for the video stuff I know.

I will try and play with the settings on the tv, I hope it works!

I assumed that you meant RCA

Well I could not get it to work?

I played with the settings in the TV aslo and not luck.

I'm going to try and hook the PC up via an S Video cord, that way I can use my VGA plug for external speakers, I will just run my logitech speakers off the PC and hopefully I will get sound that way

VGA plug for external speakers? huh?

Let's make sure we are talking about the same things here.

Are are using the DVI or the VGA output from your PC's video card to the TV?

Which port on the back of your sound card are you plugging your mini-stereo to RCA adapter in to?

its a setting in the menu..i couldnt get sound to work on my 26" ..its probably a setting in the main menu..theres like primary and secondary that u can set each input to..try changing the audio from primary to secondary(if yours has that feature)
