whats the best defragging program?
a fast but efficient one
because my pc has slowed to a crawl..

yea takes a few hours or more depending on how fragged your computer actually is...but just leave it over night..itll be done in the morning

I defrag every week, on Saturday morning mostly, before I head over the the battlefield... (defragging doesn't take long that 10 minutes each drive for me).

Infact if you run defrag.exe from a command line in cmd.exe, you'll notice that the builtin version of defrag in Windows, was made by Executive software who also makes Diskeeper. (it is spelled like that, with just one K )

Another vote for Diskeeper (10 Pro here). Also if you're one of those that leaves your computer on 24/7, you can set it to defrag every night (or any other time for that matter).

And yes the Windows built-in defrag is a slightly stripped down version of Diskeeper Lite 7 (just like the Windows built-in burner capability is by Roxio).

diskeeper is good, like everyone else said.

also, yes, it will take a long time with any program if you havnt defragged in a while. so just deal with the long defrag that takes several hours (leave it on when you leave the house or go to bed), but after that just make sure you defrag regularly, atlest once a week, or more depending on how much file movment goes on your drive. if you keep up on regular defrags, it only takes a few minutes.
