to those who have dual core amd cpus. Does dual core make bf2 run a little better by taking the load off the cpu? Any improvement over a singlecore cpu? If there is zero improvement, i will not bother going dual core

Zero improvment in BF2. BF2 is not very CPU dependant at all.

Actually it is a little CPU dependant... But a modern single core amd 3000+ or above will handle it flawlessly...

yea dual cores own but bf2 played the same and now after the new patch i have to play off just one core its ight tho cause i saw such improvement.

dual core wont even boost fps at all, it isnt really for gaming yet as much as other applications. when games become multi threaded soon they will.
