ati radeon x1300 pro vs. 9250

hey i was looking to buy a new graphics card to play bf2 with. after researching i am pretty sure i will get either an ati radeon x1300 pro pci express card (256mb) or an ati radeon 9250 pci (also 256mb) the 1300 obviously costs a bit more. which one would b a better buy for playing bf2 and similar games?

Make sure if you're looking at a PCI-E card your motherboard has a PCI-E Expansion Slot. PCIE and PCI are not the same...

I dont know why anyone would ever want a PCI graphics card,and the x1300 series is really bad for gaming. I would highly recomend saving your money and buying a 6600gt, your really going to regret buying a budget card like that, especially for gaming. You could probably find a refurb for a low price too.

Like Rookie said, make sure you figure out if you have a PCI-e slot. You dont want to buy a card and be one of the people who file down the thing so it fits in the slot and wonder why it doesnt work

The x1300 will run BF2 at about the same graphics as my current card.. low some med.. 1024 x 768.. no higher.

Hey guys. i bought a 7800 256MB AGP.
now i have this yellow looking color slot and i asked my friend how could i fit this in. he told me it was okay to chip off the yellow chip thingy and it would work. well now still doesnt work. it cost me 500 bucks. can any1 help me?

You know that you can do that right? I did it to mine, he probably just took to much off or had a completely different problem.

i have a pci express but are u sure a pci wont work in a pci express slot?

so the x1300 wont b good for bf2??? i heard it was an ok card for gaming... how much is a 6600 gt? and wut is the company/ other information? damn i was so close to finally deciding which card to get.................:cry:

6600gt is 128 mb though, i think x1300 would be better.....im getting it too, but i dont know if bf2 will run good

wut other information can u give me about the 6600gt like manufacturer and stuff. also wut is the price for a 600gt?

Get the X1300 if you want to be disappointed or not even able to play. It's the crappiest card ATI makes.

The amount of ram 128/256/512 on the card has nothing to do with it's actual performance.

What is your price range?

my price range would be under 150$. also i have a question... is the higher the number on hte model of the card make it a better card? ex) and x1300 is better than an x800?

Yeah I was gonna post a 7600 GT, but I thought it was a little too high. It would be worth the extra cash.

Yea.. i would have to say that the 7600GT is the very best card n the market (for the price) should be able to play BF2 at all high 4xAA @ 1280x0124 some people are having problems, but most can.
