socket 478 Motherboards w/ PCI-Ex

Ok a while back i remember reading some posts about people with 478 processors who wanted to know if any motherboards were available with pci ex slots.

At the time i replied that no there was not, i did search a while and found nothing.

Now i am back to report that if no one else mentioned this to those interested that there are indeed some motherboards with this combo.

ASUS - P4GD1
Albatron - makes a few
PX915P4 Pro
PX915P4C Pro
PX915P4C
PX915G4 Pro
PX915G4C Pro
PX915G4C
ASRock - P4DUAL-915GL

Ok a few other things to mention about these boards, they all run yes a 915 chipset (look at their names duh me).

The only albatron ones that support p4 extreme editions (gallatin core) is the PX915P4 Pro, and PX915G4 Pro. So does the Asus board but all the rest do not.

Finally these boards are no longer manufactured (although they should and scrap the other apc models they still make). So i seached far and wide trying to read other languages on web pages to get one.

THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR HANDS ON ONE OF THESE IS EBAY!

so go there search them out, i was lucky enough to find two of them an Albatron and an ASUS. The albatron seller shill bid the price way up so i did not buy that one he did say that he was going to relist it. By the way it was one that doesnt support the ext.ed. processor.


Any ways good luck with it and if those of you are still interested keep hopes up you never know.

That would be a nice option for someone who has an "old" system, but wants more options for faster video cards (pci-e). Good find.

Personally I would dump any more money into a dead platform, I would rather sell the old system and build a whole new one.

No. LGA 775, 939, and maybe 754 are the only ones that will.

ahhh i really want to get a pci express card. now i have a agp board and a 6600gt but i want to have the option to get a second card when i want to. i guess i have to buy all 3 things(cpu, gpu, mobo. :|:
