Ok so ive been thinking of getting a 'real' sound card for a while now and just saw this:

Personally I would settle for one of the lower tier X-Fis. If your really into music thats a different story. If your going from onboard your going to notice a big difference even with one of the lesser audigys.

For me yes, as i really like the front pannel, and i play lots and lots and lots of music on my pc, and th eon-board sound card really just isnt up to it at all.
