hmm laptop sound card?

price is sorta an issue. just wondering what everyone thinks. I returned the shuttle to start making my tower and laptop better.

Go with the creative labs, it'll provide the best sound you're gonna get on a laptop and the reviews I saw on the icemat say it's just mediocre.

audigy 2nx isn't too shabby either. i've got one sitting in a drawer i plan on using as soon as i get a lappy.

I'm not sure about either, but more than likely they are going to eat CPU cycles because these are software soundcards for the most part. You might doublecheck and i could be wrong, but my huntch is that these are just going to slow down your games.

well id go for the second one. But the only problem i have with it is that it takes up a net network card slot (i use them alot). so if thats not a worry id go for it!

BUT rumour has it there soon gonna release a X-fi version for the old lappy!
