Special forces wont install

i just formatted today and i cant figure out why but i can install regular fine but SF keeps saying installing patch 1.1 or somthing screen shot below and it almost locks my computer up i am running windows xp pro with a amd athlon 3800+ dual core cpu and 7800 gt video card

are you positive it's locked up? i tried to patch when i was running on crap hd (i wait a long time between upgrades), and it took ~20 minutes.

it finally went thru but i had to open e:/ and click on the patch.exe and it took a while but went thanks for everyones help!
