it is possible to play all high with a 6600GT, but you'll need the 256mb version.

but i dont have the 256mb version :)

256mb version will not make all that much of a differance (128bit interface) I still do not belive that you run BF2 all high, it's easy to take a screen shot of your settings, but not use them...

use FRAPS to record ur gameplay & measurment of ur FPS

a guy I know from LAN parties uses this:

AMD Athlon 64 3700+
2 gigs of XMS RAM
256mb 6600GT

he plays on all high, about 50-60 fps average, with dips into the mid 20's.

The only problem with that is when I record with fraps my FPS drops to 15-25

You looking at walls and stuff?

Not saying it's imposible to run it all high, just more enjoyable without dropping into the 20's or teens while playing.

Sure their not bad there, bnut try taking one in a fight with 20 poeple, or when arty is raining down on you, it will drop to low 20's or so.
