Its a good start, but I have alot of suggestions... give me a few minutes. :)

Bear in mind this is just a newegg search, there might be better prices out there.

Get a Case like this with PSU. Currently you are buying two powersupplies, and a case. oye?

As for the rest its pretty good, but get a SATA hard drive. No reason to get an IDE drive, spend the extra $2. Also you probably want a CD/RW with software. Another thing that isnt a big deal, but you probably want two sticks of ram to run dual channel, however dual channel isnt going to help performance that much, especially in a home enviroment. 1 stick of ram is better suited for s754.

Alternatives if your willing would be dropping down to a socket 754 Sempron to save ~$40. Also s754 runs single channel and is perfect for one stick of ram, and you can still get a geforce 6100 mobo.

Another alternative would be bumping up to a dual core Intel CPU. The cheapest dual core Intel is $130 and would be a nice performance boost in the long term.

Note the mobo has a GeForce 6100 graphics which is what I have in this computer and it works well, so no need for a video card...

perfect pc for photos and working with the internet

ahhh, thank you, blackhawk pilot.... It might even be able to handle BF2, not well, but it can handle it!

as with the 3500+ its twice as much and I'm pretty sure that exceeds the grand total of $400

There, I edited it and put the antec case, pushing the price down even more, thanks guys!

please dont bf2 on this computer, its not build for it( and i bet ur mom play bf2)

Your build looks good, but if you want to cut costs more go socket 754, and a single stick of ram. a 3100+ or 3300+ sempron will suite you well for less money.

Might I make another suggestion for a case. This one,

Its a bit bigger overall, which will allow for room to grow down the road. It also has a slightly bigger psu (400W instead of 350W), and higher specs across the board (higher amps on all rails). I just recently picked up the SLK3000B which is the exact same case, just minus the power supply, and have been quite pleased with it. With the included 120mm fan in the back and the extra 120mm I added in the front, overall temps for everything are down 5-6°C. Another nice thing is that the removeable drive cage is offset towards the door, giving lots of room on the other side for hiding cables.

Looks good. I wouldn't go the Pentium 805 route because you'd have to upgrade your power supply and cooling to get any decent result out of it.
