Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
wait, so halo 2 for PC will be dx9 compatible too? will i NEED vista to run it? or can I still use xp?
Halo 2 is Vista only, meaning it will either be using dx10 or dx9L, neither of which will be avaiblable in xp. It really wasn't that good a game, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Sounds like Microsft are just trying to use it as a incentive to get people onto Vista... and i dont think it will work that well.. im not going to pay hunderds just so i can have an OS that will play a game. But i will pay it if it is a good OS, stable and runs fast!.. like.. zoom zoom! :p
It's nvidia next gen gpu, which is coming out whenever they feel like it. It will support dx10, hdr+aa and angle independant af. Which means it'll have the same feature set as the x1900xt, but with dx10.
Vista was pushed back again from November, to January, and now three more months to April. I'm not holding my breath.
Microsoft only said it was pushed back to January. Just recently some analysts have said that it won't be out until April, but Microsoft has publicly denied these claims and still says Vista will come out in January.

That's also just speculation. Unless you would like to refer me to an article where nvidia stated this.
GeForce 8 (G80) is also rumoured to have 32-64 pipes (Whoo, big margin there). Undoubtably it'll be better than anything thats out right now, but that goes without saying. Supposed to come out Q3 2006 (maybe as soon as July). ATi's answer to the G80, the R600 comes out end of the year, same as GeForce 7 and X1800s, bascially. DX10 is also supposed to be "7 times faster than DX9," whatever that means. Just trying to add something that hasn't been said here.
Hmm...all current cards are DX9 and will work with Vista...you need a DX10 card to play DX10 games...DX9 cards won't run DX10 games (unless they're made in both DX9 and DX10, still up for debate, and not all games will do it). Thats about it. Vista looks cool, lots of anti-piracy crap though. But hey, thats what you get from Microsoft.
I have seen some pretty cool features and previews of this new version of Windows and I must admit that it makes XP look really outdated. Make way for Vista!

so true. I figure every game put out by MFST will be Vista only, just to help sell it. If they release an excellent game (other than Halo 2, since you can get it elsewhere), that's only for PC, that's when they will make loads of money.
Not trying to hijack this thread, but from what reports I've seen, the government of Germany is switching over to Linux. I believe the state government of Rhode Island is doing the same. What's this mean to us? More correctly, it means a lot to MFST, because think of the money they will lose. That's why I believe that they are trying to get as much money out of us here, such as in this case, to help make up for the losses elsewhere.
