HELP my games running faster then it should be

Does anyone know what the problem is...my game is running WAY fast-its like speed hax only i dont have them...EVERYTHING moves really fast and i hate it.

i did some things to the registry but im not sure if it made the game do what it does...

It was fine before i re-formated last night not sure what caused the problem...im going to restart right now and see if it makes a difference.

If anyone can help me in the time im gone please do.

Kidding, this aint no support forum dude, so maybe just err, crank your resolution up to where it lags your system that should balance things out ok.

wait, are you saying that you run like a J-10? or that things don't lag?

That he runs like a J-10, I imagine.

Make sure you have proper drivers for your CPU/mobo chipset (strange, but this has caused issues for me in other programs). If you're using a laptop with speedstep technology, that may be a problem too.

no its not like that...you know the sattelite or whatever for scanning the map...it moves in a full Circle all the way around in 1 second...all the graphical aspects of the game are moveing really fast and some dont have sound...

i have all the latest drivers...

these are some of the tweaks i did to the registry.

F) This tweak lets you fine tune your memory for better performance
(You need at least 256MB of RAM to do this)


1) Go to "Start", then "Run", and then type in "Regedit"
2) Locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro
l\Session Manager\Memory Management
3) Double Click "DisablePagingExecutive", select "Decimal" and put a 1 in the blank. This allows windows to keep data in memory instead of paging sections of RAM to the hard drive, Click OK
4) Double Click "LargeSystemCache", select "Decimal", and put a 1 in the blank. This allows XP kernal to run memory (improves system performance a lot). Click OK
5) Create a New "Dword" by right clicking in the "Memory Management" Folder. Once the "Dword" is created, name it "IOPageLockLimit". Double click it and select "Hexadecimal", put a 4000 in the blank if you have 128MB of RAM, set it to 10000 if you have 256MB of RAM, or set it 40000 if you have 512MB of RAM or more. This tweak will speed up your diskcache. Click OK
6) Reboot for changes to take effect

i did those registry edits and this 1-

(Tweaking the Swap File, You need 256MB of RAM or more to do this)
1) Select "Run", then "Start", and then type in "msconfig.exe"
2) Select the "SYSTEM.INI" tab
3) Add "ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1" under the "386enh" section
4) Click "OK" and reboot windows for the changes to take effect

I moved this to Tech Support. They can help you there. Also, consult the Search option. I've read about people complaining of this before. Most responces will be "I wish my game ran too fast!" but someone will surely be able to help you in the proper forum (ie, where I moved your thread to). Good luck.

So like all the animations are going at super speed? Like trees swaying rly fast, water gushing, when the guy throws the gun it like INSANE!!!!1!! is that what you mean? If so. i have no idea.. cept try a re-install...

well actually it was running at normal speed yet i didnt think so...i usually saw the satellite in the map move around really slowly before i formated...after it moved fast and i was dumbfounded...

So i thought it was my game speeding up when it wasnt...:laugh:

It was all out of stupidity.

Ahaha.. so basically your problem was that before the re-fprmat everythign was running extra slow! lol.. smoooooth! :p
