What GPU??

I had a thread earlier bout a new pc im looking at getting one cheap as poss. My main problem is the GPU what one do you lot reconmend i should get that runs bf2 fine but does not cost a arm and a leg. It dont have to run on high but maybe a few medium settings.

I need all help i can get :)

A 6800GT should run it on high and is real cheap.

Im running mine on everything, besides resolution, maxed out but my 6800GT is overclocked...and they also produce A LOT of heat, so consider spending ~$50 on cooling (make sure you get arctic silver).

I have owned a couple of 6800GT's and used one for BF2 and it ran very nice at high settings, also bear in mind that I used it together with a P4 system (sk478); perhaps minor stuttering but it appears to have been a driver problem and is probably fixed now.
It worked well and it will probably work great if you have a newer AMD 939 system, too.

7600gt is definitely the way to go. If you want to spend $20-$30 less, you could go with a 6600gt, although difference between the 6600gt and the 7600gt is quite large. The 7600gt is one of the best price/performance cards out right now

Ok 7600 GT it is thanks guys :) Im looking at one pc see what i can get then try build one is the 256MB NVIDIA Geforce 7600GS PCI Express Graphics same or better than the 7600GT

the 7600gs is a lot worse than than the 7600gt. I think its between a 6600gt and a 6800gs in gaming benchmarks.

The videocard is the most important part of a gaming system so don't skimp on that. 7600GT.

I run:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2 gigs of RAM
eVGA 7600GT

and that's on all high

Shop around, but when I bought mine, it was $185.00 at newegg.com and I sent off for the $15 rebate.
