Will this set-up cut it?

Hi I am soon going to buy a PC bundle off of eBay which includes the following specs:

I am obviously going to be upgrading the Graphics card, but am not sure if this following one is supported:

Thanks for the help. This will be the first time I'm ever going to have a PC capable of things like this.

Yeah it will fit no probs. My only advice would be, if you can afford it, push yourself to a 6800 gt/gs or 7600gt if you can. Be about 30 quid more but well worth it, the 6800xt is like the diet coke version of a 6800.

Those will work together, but I would personally not get a motherboard that had only 2 RAM slots. Also, I dont even think an Athlon 64 3100+ even exists it goes 3000+ then 3200+. There may have been a 3100 "over the pond" who knows...Another downer is the Maxtor hard drive. I work in IT at a college, and those hard drives fail like crazy. It also comes with no Operating System, which may or may not be a problem for you. My two cents....

So it might be worth my building my own? I'll still keep an eye out for eBay bargain like my friend had (although his was a second hand machine)
Thanks for the information, its helped a lot. How much do you reckon it would cost to BUILD a decent enough system to be able to play battlefield 2 on (IN £GBP if possible) Thanks.

You can get a 7600gt for about 110 GBP. This is an excellent card and should let you play at 1024x768 with mostly high settings. As for the rest of the system, do keep your eye on ebay, but be wary of things like

maxtor hard drives
motherboards made by ??????? (ASUS, DFI, GIGABYTE, are a few good ones)
Make sure you have plenty of expansion like SATA ports, etc.

Firstly... This bastard stole my name...

Secondly... My other PC has the following specs and works fine on battlefield 2 online:

Intel Pentium 4 Processor
512 MB of Random Access Memory
128 MB Graphics Card

And yeah I know a lot of other things matters including the makes and models of the component listed above but eitherway its a standard PC and it works fine with BF2 so the PC hes interesting in getting on ebay will play fine online and without lag (if he stops his porn downloads).

That is a socket 754 board with an AMD sempron and it doesn't even support dual channel.

i have the 6800 xt and i can run everythign on high 1280x768 4xAA..it OC's pretty good to if yoru into that ....never heard of a geforce 6100 or amd 3100+ so i dunno bout that stuff man
