I'm seriously thinking about building my first comp and was going to start with a PCI-E gpu (nvidia) and build the rest around that,any suggestions on the best for under 200 smackers

Another 7800GT user here, I think s its a good all round card, plays BF2 very well.
Btw if your building your own computer, if you are not going to use dual graphics cards do not get a SLi motherboard as it will just be a waste of money that can be spent elsewhere.

why do you want nvidia so bad :S they don't make ati cards because they suck so much :S

the 7600gt is a good card and costs less than a 7800gt and performs not as well but still good. thats a good buy. the 7900gt is probably a little more than 200pounds but is much better. the 7800gt is good, and is better than the 7600 so if you can afford it and find it go witht that.
