upgrading to new pc by end of week!

Hey, the time has finally come around when i am upgrading to Pci-Express.
I have a total of around $700 to spend on everything. My current PC is as follows:

    Pentium 4 2 Ghz
    Asus P4P800SE
2 GB of Gskill Memory (Cas 2 2-3-2-5) this im keeping
    Sapphire Ati X1600Pro AGP

    basically thats it.

Ive made a pc off of newegg and i would like to know what you guys think or any suggestions or changes.remember i have only $700.

    CPU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103598 Opteron 146 2 Ghz 1MB L2

    Video:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130283
Evga 7600GT 580/1500 This is best for me as i dont have alot of cash.

    Mobo:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131540
Asus A8N SLI Premium (I like this mobo personally, seems very stable)

    Case:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133132
    Thermaltake tsunami black

    PSU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103512
    Enermax WhisperII 535W

    Grand Total $711.48

I think that is all the items needed, I would like any help or suggestions and maybe some things to bring down the price a little(maybe the mobo?).
    Thank You

ooh almost forgot im also planning to buy a phase change system by the end of this year to see what the opty can really do when its below zero.!

Ok.. well it all looks good, if you want to bring the price down, you could get the Asus A8N SLI Deluxe version, might shave a bit of money off, although that does have a fan. And just remember about the cool bug, i dont know much about it, but its something about the chips not starting up if they are below zero.

roger that, the Deluxe is basically the same right? I really dont know the difference. I hope im one of the lucky ones tha gets a chip that fires up under zero!

Yea they are virtually the same, the Premium is a newer version of the Deluxe, the deluxe uses a fan while the Premium uses a heat pipe, the different in performance is next to none, litterally 1 fps difference (i was looking at the benchies yesterday) as i am trying to see which one of the two to buy.

maybe.. *shifty eyes* why? do you need one? i think the 6600GT is as good as mine. i mean it could be a downgrade.lol

ok thanks blakphoenix i will go with the deluxe and that is i guess like 9 dolla savings. Thanks! ( i like fans anyway.)

Re: upgrading to new pc by end of week!

Yea, the only downside is that the Deluxe isnt as "open" when it comes it overclocking, and ye ai know the saving isnt much there... The only other thing i can think of is a slighly lower wattage PSU, you could get a 500W or even a 450W (pushing it). The x1600 is better than a 6600GT, newer technology, etc.

well i might as well stay with the premium for a few bucks right? i mean i can scrape up 11 bucks anyway. thanks for all the help.

I would drop down to a cheaper mobo and CPU and throw the savings into a better video card.

yeah dropping down to a DFI NF4 Ultra-D and a 3200+ will net you ~$100, use that to upgrade to a 512MB x1800XT.

I agree, stay with the opty, dual core is the way of the future.
