Re: Need help picking graphics card

If youre on a budget, my eVGA 256 6800 GS runs the game pretty well, I will probably end up upgrading though.

        This should be good:
        http://www.datorbutiken.com/se/defau...Id=C-GEA2WH-SE

You can add/change/remove parts if you wish. ~14000SEK

(datorbutiken är mycket bättre än Dell)
Do you think he can read all that shizzle?

        lol w/e

I should go for the 512MB nVidia™ GeForce™ 7900GTX but as you said YOU want the BEST so I should go for the amazing X1900XTX from sapphiretech and ATI...

Just make sure if you get one of those firebreathing 7900gtx or X1900XTX that you have a decent power supply and cooling.

Another few companies that make decent gaming computers are...

          Hope this helps

If you want the best gfx card you need an ATI radeon 1900 XTX....see proof below why its better than the Nvidia 7900

If money doeasnt matter buy 7900GTX 512MB, if you want to save some buy 7900GT 256MB... you will be able to run BF2 on max settings on both...

Re: Need help picking graphics card

Do not buy expensive new hardware now, It is simply a waste of money as DirectX 10 will be coming out soon making your video card obselete for future games. Unless if you've got a nice job and don't mind spending another 3-400 dollars in the next couple of months, Just wait

EDIT: I suppose I should answer your question though.. The best you can possibly get is either an nVidia 7900 or an ati x1900. Two of them, to be precise. I'm not sure wich one is better, some games run better on one while others run smoother on the second.

7900 might be a little overkill. B ut if you got the money, go for the 7900
There is no such thing as overkill.

Hasn't there been debate as to the credibility of some the benchmarks between ATI and nVidia? Anyways, doesn't matter. What you should get for top of the line is nVidia's new QuadSLI system.

Looks like this thread belongs in Tech Center...guess we just missed it

Personally...I'd say the 7900GTX. It's nice that the price of nVidia's most expensive card has started to become reasonable.

Nice fantasy. Got a link that says the 7800 series is DX10 compliant? There isn't a card out yet that supports DX10.

Depends on what game you play the be the fastest on the planet.

However it does better in BF2 than Nvidia.
