New PC - Need help

Ok.. so this is my stsyem at the moment. (PLease not all prices are un Australian Dollars).

AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core X2 3800+ - $458.00
Asus A8N SLI Deluxe AMD64 MB - $224.00
2x 1024Mb DDR400 Memory Hyundai - $216.00 ($108 each)
120Gb Seagate 7200RPM SATA HDD - $108.00
LG 4167B Dual Layer 16X Black - $68.00
7600GT 256MB PCI-e
Power Supply 24pin EPS with 2xSATA 550W, 12CM Fan - $85
Antec P180 Performance One ATX Midi Tower (no PSU) - $215.00

Ok.. now for my queries...

Im not sure what brand to get with the 7600GT, if i should go for a BFG/eVGA which are about $370-$390, or InnoVISON/Albatron about $280-$300.

Also is the PSu overboard for what i have in this system?

I dont want to spend any money i dont have to, so i need to keep the prices down. Im also mooking for a nice 17" or 19" monitor. I dont really know much about LCD's i think 8ms is good, but ive seen one or two 2ith as low as 2ms.. so yea.. can anyone suggest one thats good, yet not too pricey?

well. as for the brand of 7600gt. I would go with eVGA. the first reason is that they always work good. secondly, they have a GREAT warrenty that is NOT voided even with overclocking. and the step -up program ^_^. you can also overclock it to the speed of the BFG card and still have your warrenty. all my evga cards have always been good, and my current ones still are.

[personally I would go with the evga or albatron. only albatron because my mobo isnt THAT bad and they make good stuff. but i dont know anything about thier warrenty, and evga has always been good, so go with evga definitly.]

I would stick with that PSU. yes, it is a tiny bit over what you need. but better safe than sorry.

as for the LCD. I would look at some good viewsonic ones.

check out those moniters or others. for gaming I would keep the response time at 8ms or under.

OK sweet, thanks heaps Sakynut. Yea i just wasnt sure is Power Supply was an ok brand for PSU's as ive read that if you overclock at all (i like to get the most out of my hardware, so i do OC, but not extensivley), you need a good, steady 12v rail or something.

As for the LCD's for me its important to have a one that looks sharp, and ive always wanted a 19". So i think ill go with the ViewSonic VX922 Black/Silver 19" 2ms, i think the 2ms is a lot more than what i will ever need, but it looks good, and will hopefully last a long time.

I have a Viewsonic VX924 and I love it. It has 3ms response and 550:1 contrast ratio. I never have any ghosting even playing a dark level in a game. The VX922 has 2ms response and 650:1 contrast, slightly better than mine so you will definitley love it. And the DVI input make the colors look awesome (good for photoshoppin ) That should be a sweet system.

Yea i cant wait, now i just need to get the ok with my parents... I have this pc (my sig) and have had it for a little while.. my bro wants a pc in his room, so thats where this will go into. They just dont see the point of the money when in a few year it wont be worth as much... but hey... The screen will be a definate, even if i just stay with my current pc, i hate this 15" Dell LCD that i have, it ghosts often and has a ew pead pixels now.
