G5 Problem

I've set the application on SetPoint to read "BF2.exe". I tried bounding the thumb button to "7" (Nightvision), but this does not work. I am trying this in SF night maps btw, I know it won't work in normal BF2. Is there anyway to make it work, other than making it assigned to "7" in All Programs, since I don't want it to type out "7" in ... say firefox.

Any help is appreciated.

Ok when your in the control settings in bf2, find the night vision one and change it to the button on your mouse you want to use.
my primary weapon is on the side of mouse so i just click it for single shot/auto.

It tells me that I have a duplicate key in common controls, but I have not assigned my thumb button to anything. I hate modifying controls in BF2 ...
