    speakers for xfi

Just got a new xfi soundcard do I can hear BF2 in its full glory. Can anyone recommend any speakers please ? Someone has told me a 5.1 surround sound set isnt necessary and a good 2.1 set with sub woofer will do.

    Thanks

If you have spent the cash on a good 5.1 soundcard then deffenetly go for a 5.1 set up. If you can afford it get the creative 5.1 gigaworks or something similar. Or get a decent set of headphones, I have the MEDusa 5.1 surround sound headphones with the X-Fi Fatality FPS edition card and it all works great (true 5.1 sound).

5.1 speakers or 5.1 headphones would be best, because not only would the soud be great but, you can hear all around you and get the full experience.

i have a 7.1 soundcard but still went with a 2.1 setup dont have anywhere to put the speakers, im kind of an audio enthusiast so i know the fact that i couldn;t place the 7.1 speakers in the correct places would annoy me.

if you dont have the space for a 5.1/7.1 system i wholely recommend the logitech z2300 2.1 set the sub is just ****ing unbelievable

The logitech Z-5500 are good speakers for gaming, not the best for audio quality with music, but pretty good nontheless. I got mine off Dell with a coupon for $204, and for the price they are damn good.

Logitech z-5500 are what i have. Awesome speakers. Not for music ofcourse(go stereo for that still IMO).

Bear in mind Bf2 supports 6.1, 7.1 too.

After buying a creative xfi, get yourself a 5.1 speaker system or a good pair of headphones. You'll thank yourself for it.
Before you go and buy 6.7 and 7.1, read up about it. I've read a few audio specialists who say in such as mall space like ah ouse, anything about 5.1 is ridiclous. I'm a headphone person though.
